“Wild, rugged, beautiful. The views from these windows make you long to be out – or relaxing dreamily over a book in the window seat. At the top of the lane leading up from the lake, the long, traditionally-built whitewashed cottage gazes down over the famous, fish-rich Lough Conn and across stone-walled fields to Nephin Mountain.

Inside all is brisk and bright. A large open-plan living area with pine flooring and cosy furnishings, a modern, well-equipped kitchen, family-friendly table, comfy sofas and open stone fireplace. On the other side of the entrance hall decked with fishing rods are three double bedrooms (one en-suite) plus bathroom. Upstairs to another double bedroom and bathroom and a playroom. This is a lovely, light and welcoming house, with gorgeous views from every window.

Garden with lawn and decking around the house means that you can chase the sun all day long. For sporty days there’s fishing down the lane and boats galore for hire to explore the islands in the lake. Wonderful walking and great tracks for riding. This is such a wonderful place – perfect for an away-from-it-all break”
